School Site Council at Wiseburn Middle School

The School Site Council (SSC) at Wiseburn Middle School plays a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students. This collaborative group of parents, teachers, and school staff works together to develop, review, and implement our School Improvement Plan.

What Does the School Site Council Do?

  • Plan and Prioritize: The SSC oversees the implementation of our School Improvement Plan, ensuring that resources are allocated to meet our students' needs.
  • Budget Management: The SSC manages the budget for School Improvement Funds, making sure that every dollar is spent wisely to enhance student learning.
  • Community Input: The SSC serves as a bridge between the school and the community, gathering input from parents and making decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of our students and families.

How Can Parents Get Involved?

  • Join the Council: Five parent members are elected by their peers to serve on the council for a two-year term. This is a great way to have a direct impact on your child’s education and the overall success of our school.
  • Attend Meetings: Even if you're not a council member, all parents are welcome to attend SSC meetings. Your voice matters, and your input is always appreciated.

When Does the SSC Meet?

The School Site Council meets monthly. Check the Wiseburn Middle School Weekly Bulletin for meeting dates and times.

Join us in making a difference! Whether you become a member or attend meetings, your involvement in the School Site Council helps shape a brighter future for all of our students.
