Starting during the 2026-27 school year, Wiseburn Unified School District is beginning a thoughtful transition from traditional letter grading to a Standards-Based Grading system. Join us virtually on September 8 from 5 to 6:30 PM to learn more about the new approach, preview the Achievement Report, and get answers to your questions.

Wiseburn continues to expand our services to deliver an exceptional educational experience for our students. As part of that ongoing effort, we’re thrilled to announce some new faces on the Wiseburn team! Get to know them and learn more about what they’ll be doing in the year ahead.

Looking for ways to get involved this school year? Wiseburn welcomes parents, caretakers, and community members to volunteer at our schools and get involved through the PTA/PTSA and the Wiseburn Education Foundation. Explore the many ways you can connect, contribute, and make a difference in our school community.

Reminder to families: e-scooters are not permitted on WUSD campuses. We know there may be some confusion about whether the District’s recently shared e-bike policy also applies to e-scooters. E-scooters and e-bikes are treated differently under California law and District policy.

While Class I and II e-bikes are permitted after registering with the District, California law regulates e-scooters as motorized scooters rather than electric bicycles. State law requires e-scooter riders to have a valid driver’s license or instruction permit, which puts them out of reach for most of our students. The District’s e-bike policy covers electric bicycles only.

The Wiseburn Education Foundation has released its 2025-26 Impact Report, capping a milestone year as the foundation celebrates 30 years of supporting Wiseburn students. Founded in 1996 by parents and community leaders, WEF raised $398,225 this year to benefit more than 5,000 students across the district's schools, from preschool through the high school academies. Highlights include 27 teacher innovation grants totaling more than $27,000, 475 new instruments and cases for the district's music program, and support for 50 middle school students who designed and built AI applications at a two-day hackathon with Da Vinci Schools.
